Middletown, Delaware - The Whistle Stop

If you’re looking to get lost for an afternoon, you really can’t ask for a better place than The Whistle Stop in Middletown, DE. Since moving from their location on Main Street, The Whistle Stop has added tons of square footage, giving you ample space to browse the myriad of vendors occupying the stalls. From start to finish, it look my mom and me about an hour to shop the entire place - which is a solid excursion, in my opinion. 

Because The Whistle Stop is a multi-vendor store, you are going to have the pleasure of shopping different kinds of merchandise as you move from one stall to the next. Part antique store, part yard sale, part crafts - it truly does offer the type of mixed bag shopping experience that I really enjoy. From photography to repurposed and upcycled furniture to dog treats and specialty teas, you can find everything that you didn’t know you needed here. (I didn’t know I needed a BINGO board, but I bought one!) And, if you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for, get in their Wish Book and they’ll search for what you want until they find it. 

Hit it if you have time to stroll and enjoy the eclectic variety that comes with a multi-vendor store. Go on the weekend for complimentary coffee and popcorn!

10-8 on Wednesdays; 10-6, Thursday through Saturday; 10-5 on Sundays; closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
