If you’re looking to slip down the rabbit hole and escape for the day, look no further than The Zeppelin and The Unicorn in Wilmington, quite possibly one of the best antique stores I have ever visited.

Walking into the store feels like crossing the threshold of another dimension - a whimsical wonderland of antique and vintage items that is so eye-poppingly crammed with stuff, you need to count on having at least an hour or more to weave your way around the store. When you get there, you will be greeted by the most friendly couple, owners Jaqui and Larry, and their star employee, Traveller. Antiques and a dog? I was a goner before I even walked 10 feet into the store. Take my money, please.
The Zeppelin and The Unicorn has a staggering amount of inventory from a varied group of vendors. The booths are so packed with items, quirk and personality, I felt myself walking through the packed booths and narrow walkways repeatedly because I didn’t want to miss anything with a single pass. This is the kind of place where you have to move slowly, literally look high and low, allow your brain to explode a little, and then dig your way out of the store. The walls might have collapsed around me in an antique avalanche and that would have been okay. There is a good reason that this place has been voted Best of Delaware.

Hit The Zeppelin and The Unicorn if you love antiques, vintage, costume jewelry, dolls, collectibles, clothing, and one-of-a-kind pieces that you really won’t find anywhere else. Or if you just want to get lost for an afternoon and pet a dog.

Also, there is even more incentive to visit: from November 27 to December 24, The Zeppelin and The Unicorn will be offering customers 20% off of all items in the store (unless marked firm), as a thank you to customers for their support throughout the past few months.
